Imagination Run Wild in Jeju Love Land

Frankly speaking, besides Teddy Bear Museum, this attraction is also one of the place that I desperately wanna go no matter how. Not just me, but even my two guy friends felt the same things too. Luckily, our taxi driver which we hired him for a day agreed to bring us there.

Jeju Love Land is a one-in-a-kind outdoor sculpture park that mainly focus on a sex theme. Because it is an erotic sculpture park that features 140 work of arts representing humans in various sexual positions, this park is only allows for adult from 18 years old and above to enter into this park. But don't worry if you are bringing your kids along, there is a recreation and play area provided for the little one.

#1: Jeju Love Land is located just 10 minutes from Jeju International Airport and the admission fee is 9,000 won.

#3: When we entered the park, we couldn't helped ourselves from non-stop laughing by looking all of these. This place is seriously out of our imagination. See, such a huge penis standing in front of us.

#5: We did felt a lil bit awkward  at the beginning but slowly, we began to do some silly and crazy stuff. Plus, by the time when we were there, there are not many visitors, roughly less than 10 people. Or else, we definitely won't managed to that.

#7: A giant twin hills or tit hills in the middle of the park.

#8: Various of erotic sculptures which for sure you don't want to miss any of them.

Among all the five places we went on the second day in Jeju Island, Jeju Love Land is the one and only that we spend longer time than the others. The four places that we went earlier - Seopjikoji and Seongsan Ilchulbong (click here); Seongeup Folk Village and Yongduam (click here), we spend roughly less than half hour but for this Jeju Love Land itself, we spend almost two hours. 

This one-in-a-kind attraction is not like that you can find in any other Asia country including Japan and it was indeed surprisingly for us that this place exist in South Korea which believed to have strong tradition reigns. I did spotted Sex Museum in Prague, Czech Republic and even we were being offered by our tour guide to watch sex shows in Paris, France and Amsterdam but my friends and I refused to do so cause we were too young at that moment. Plus, all those sex museums and sex shows in Europe are prohibited from taking any photo but for this, you are freely to take as many as you want and even do some crazy and stupid stuffs like my friends and I did.

If you plan to visit Jeju Island by yourself, this place is highly recommended cause if you travel with tour, they won't bring you to this place. Jeju Love Land - a place where the imagination can run wild.

TIPS:

1. Jeju Love Land is one of the attraction that you can visit at night as it is open until midnight. But for me, I don't prefer to visit at night cause I don't have a good camera at that moment that can captured high quality of photo at night.

Post The Card (Part 2)

So, here is the post of Part 2 which I plan to blog earlier but I keep delayed until now.

Third postcard I received from another close friend of mine. I did went Bandung during last year Christmas but I didn't managed to find postcards from there due to ran out of time. Thank goodness that she willing to spare some time to search for postcard and purposely send for me. She never fail to send me a postcard whenever she is travelling.

Well, not only I received postcards from my own friends but I did received postcards from few bloggers which I met through online. Although we didn't knew each other in personal, but we still exchanged postcards with one and other.

The first postcard I received from a blogger. Somehow, I came across that Jeff will going Cambodia with his uni friends via twitter and I just simply requested postcard from him but he seriously did so. Oh gosh! I really never thought of that but anyhow, thank you so much, Jeff! Cambodia is currently in my travel bucket list.

I forgot how the stories came about but if not mistaken, for sure I think I did requested a postcard from Kemang #thickface. He is another kind of travel blogger that did travel solo and I absolutely salute those who did so cause I always wanna try travel solo but unfortunately, I don't have the guts to do so #cowardgal.

My third Krabi postcard but it was my first time received from these four awesome travel bloggers, Danny/John, Janggel/Rain, CoCoNutz, and MasmZ during their short trip to Hatyai and Krabi via overland on Labour Day.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia from Lily Riani

Some known her as Lily and some known her as Globetrotter. If you visit her blog, for sure you will be blown away by looking at how many places, cities and countries she visited. Lily, I deeply in love with your blog header and I wish I could travel as much like you. She went Phnom Penh in the objectives to do community services by visiting orphanage there and this is a such meaningful activity, besides travelling. Not just postcard, but she did separately send fridge magnet to me too. Gosh! I almost in tear when I saw the fridge magnet cause I never expecting that.

Another #thickface case again but I seriously wanna a postcard from Europe. Never got the chance to visit Ireland and now, holds a huge regret for didn't plan to do so during my study time in United Kingdom back in year 2008. If I got the chance to visit Europe again, Ireland will be on my list for sure. R.a.W, hopefully your postcard will bring more Irish luck to me and makes my wish to go Europe again someday come true.

I used to kept them in a fancy box until I view my photo albums and there's where I got the idea from.

My postcard album and I think I might need to get more. 

For those which I bought but I didn't send out, I kept in a fancy box but until last few days when I opened it, I was so surprised that I actually did bought and collected so many postcards. That's the reason why I need to buy more and more postcard albums.

Seongeup Folk Village, Bibimbap & Yongduam @ Jeju-do

Previous post was about the first two out of 5 places that we informed our taxi driver where we wanna go in Jeju Island was Seopjikoji and Seongsang Ilchulbong - click here. Hereby, I share another two places and the final one will be in another post because the latter one will contaminate with tons of "interesting" photos I believe.

3. Seongeup Folk Village

If you want to know the unique culture and tradition of Jeju Island, Seongeup Folk Village is the one best place to be. Although it is just a small and tiny town, but it holds a vast amount of cultural heritage and still preserve the ancient Korean traditions. The distance from Seongsang Ilchulbong to Seongeup Folk Village took almost an hour.

There is no admission fee required. By the time we reached there, there is no one around except us. This gave us a pretty good chance to walk around on our own and took as many photos we want. 

The village contains about 3,000 thatched roof houses with stone and clay walls where it showcases the living lifestyle of the villagers. There might be some villagers have added modern amenities such as colour television, telephone and yet they prefer to maintain that ancient architecture of the buildings where they stay. 

One of the prime feature of this village is the stone walls which made from black lava rock.

Besides residential houses, this folk village also include Confucian shrines and schools and ancient government offices.

The way the villagers place these fences do have meaning behind, it's not for fun. One bar up means "will be back in a while", two bars mean "went out for whole day" whereas three bars mean "gone for travelling". Interesting right?

One of the thing that I missed out from here is the rare black haired pig and it believed to be very nutritious. Nope, I was not planning to eat them, just wondering how they look like but I guess they do look the same as the normal pig, right? Just different in colour. After visited 3 places, our stomach starts to growling and that's the sign for lunch time. We informed our taxi driver that we would love to have bibimbap instead of Chinese foods.

We tagged along the taxi driver to have lunch with us cause like what I mentioned before in my previous post, some of the taxi driver in Jeju Island did requested to provide lunch for them. By the way, I am not a big fan of Korean foods but when we're travel abroad, we should at least try out at lease once their foods.

4. Yongduam

From the eastern side of Jeju Island, now we heading to north side of Jeju-do. The distance took less an hour and you don't have worry about the congested traffic jam cause it never happens in Jeju Island. Therefore, some of my friends who went Jeju Island before, said they would love to visit Jeju Island again and plan to stay here for the rest of their whole life when they old. Now let's get back to Yongduam and why it is so special about

Created by strong winds and waves for more than thousands of years, Yongduam is actually a large volcanic rock formation shaped like a dragon's head. Literally in Korean, Yong means dragon and the rock formation resembles a dragon rising from the sea into the sky and that's how the dragon's head rock has been so named after this rock.

As this rock has become one of the symbol of Jeju-do, therefore it has attract lots of tourist to visit this spot. Walking through this rock pathway might be dangerous especially when the place became crowded. So, wear proper shoe when visit this place.

If you dislike walking down the rock pathway, standing on the hill and taking this emerald-blue ocean would be enough.

At here, we spotted lots of dried squid and you can even eat these raw octopus alive if you want to. But for a person who has weak heart and stomach like me, definitely a big NO for that.
