I know I just came back from my first visit to Bangkok (less than half year), but it's really hard to stop myself from keep shopping and shopping in one of my favourite shopping spots in the world.

#9: Last but not least, foods haul - Thailand famous junk food like Lay's (Potato chips), Pocky (Biscuit sticks), Koh-Kee (Peanut snacks) and more. 

As for the amount of expenses I incurred, I unable to share the full and exact details because as you may know, i went with my family and majority were paid by my parents, especially in terms of transportation fees, foods and so on. Even for my shopping loots, some paid by my mom cause the more we bought, more discount were given.

Hereby I share some of the travel expenses I managed to track down throughout my 6 days and 5 nights trip in Bangkok, Thailand:

  1. Return airfare with Royal Brunei Airlines from Kota Kinabalu to Bangkok (transit in Bandar Seri Begawan in between)
  2. Stayed for 5 nights throughout the trip, which inclusive the breakfast only on the first night stay. For more information about this hotel, click HERE.
  3. Included pick-up service from the hotel, transport and boat ride.
  4. Not a complete details cause mostly paid by my parents. 
  5. Including 100 baht free call plus 7-days unlimited internet
  6. Most of my souvenirs and shopping haul are as above photos. Also including postcards and stamps which I bought and sent out earlier.

My Bangkok Travel Loots & Expenses (2012) Version 1.0

I warn you that I indeed shopped a lot when I went Bangkok for the very first time. Plus, most of the clothes sold at that particular period were in chiffon type, which was my favourite type of clothes. And now let me reveal what I bought from Bangkok, Thailand:

#9: Two set of bikinis but wow, absolutely not for me. Two of my besties requested for these. 
A set of bikini in Bangkok was incredibly cheap which cost 250 baht (approx. to RM26) for a set but because I bought two, I managed to bargain to 450 baht for two.

#10: Fridge magnets are not to be missed whenever I travelled. Mostly bought outside Grand Palace and in Chatuchak Weekend Market as well.

#11:All my outfits from Bangkok - Pink chiffon top, blue skirt, red lace belt, green handbag, purple flat shoe and owl long necklace.

Last but not least, the following is my sharing of the full details of my travel expenses that I spend for my 5 days and 4 nights trip in Bangkok, Thailand:

(The exchange rate by the time I changed; RM10: 10.14 baht )

NOTE:
  1.  It's funny how fare for international flight was much more cheaper than the domestic flight.
  2. Stayed for 4 nights throughout the trip, which inclusive the breakfast as well. For more information about this boutique hotel, click HERE.
  3. Both taxi fare cost 350 baht for one trip and shared among two of us.  
  4. The entrance fee on the day we visited, which besides the Grand Palace, it also inclusive access to The Temple of Emerald Buddha, The Royal Thai Decorations & Coins Pavilion and Queen Sirikit Museum of Textile, which are located within the Grand Palace compound, and to Vimanmek Mansion Museum on Ratchawithi Road. 
  5. Included pick-up service from hotel, transport and boat ride.
  6. Stayed overnight before taking my flight to Bangkok on the next day. 
  7. Most of my souvenirs and shopping haul are as above photos. Also including postcards and stamps which I bought and sent out earlier.

My Travel Loots & Expenses of Melbourne, Australia (2012)

Now let me reveal what I bought from Melbourne. 

#1: Foods and typical souvenirs are what I bought when I was in Melbourne.

#2: Australia's favourite snacks and potato chips specially for Boyfie. 

#3: Variety of Tim Tam chocolate biscuits flavours which hardly found back in Malaysia and they were incredibly cheap. Cause they are originated from Australia.

#4: Arnott's Shapes savoury biscuits

#5: My friend told me that these chocolates taste yummy. Hence, I bought 10 bars instantly.

Note: #2-#5 I purchased from Woolworths Supermarket of QV Centre (nearby the State Library of Victoria).

#6: Plush kangaroo and koala bookmarks and of course, plushies 

#7: Fridge magnets, obligated to buy especially for someone who went Australia for the very first time.


#8: More fridge magnets which bought from Queen Victoria Market. These type - 6 for AUD$10

#9: For these, 8 for AUD$10. Also from Queen Victoria Market

#10: A set of keychain for AUD$4

#11: Gold plated bookmarks - 6 for AUD$10

#12: Themed T-shirt is another must! AUD$5 each but the kind lady seems to be given me exta one for free.

#13: Tote bag - 4 for AUD$10

#14: Melbourne photo frame

Note: Except for #7, #6-#14 I bought from Queen Victoria Market. So now you know where to hunt for those typical souvenirs, especially if you wanna buy in bulk.

#15: Car road sign stick for AUD$1.50. Bought these from one of the souvenirs shop nearby Flinders Street Station. 

#15: This could be consider the most pricey tote bag I ever bought. Bought this in Federation Square

And the following is my sharing of the full details of my travel expenses that I spend throughout the 8 days and 7 nights trip around Melbourne, Australia:
Melbourne 2012 Trip Expenses-3 
(The rate as at the time I changed; RM3.26 : AUD$1)

Note:
  1. The original airfare is RM640 and RM10 is for the credit card charges.
  2. My friend helped me to prebooked before I arrived Melbourne.
  3. Due to daylight saving time, I missed my Skybus and bought another last minute airport bus ticket.
  4. Myki costs AUD$6 for the card itself and has no value on it. 
  5. The original fare for train ride is AUD$41 but then, I got the discount voucher from Melbourne's Visitor Guide Book which I took from Melbourne's Visitor Centre, hence I got 30% off.
  6. Because I booked 2 full one day tours at the same time, they gave me the Melbourne attraction passes for free which includes entry to Melbourne Aquarium, Eureka Skydeck and a choice between Old Melbourne Gaol or Polly Woodside. 
  7. The cost for this tour is AUD$125 which included all park entrance fees, morning tea & biscuits and also Aussie BBQ lunch. It even included pick-up and drop-off from where you stay.
  8. The cost for this tour is AUD$120 which included all park entrance fees and pre-packed dinner at Penguin Parade. It even included pick-up and drop-off from where you stay.
  9. The original tour package was AUD$149 but then, was given 10% off. 
  10. Most of my souvenirs and shopping haul are as above photos. Also including postcards and stamps which I bought and sent out earlier.
  11. I applied through local travel agent.

Thoughts and prayers to all those affected passengers and crew of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. As a wanderlust and also frequent flyer of Malaysia Airlines especially, it's heartwrenching when heard this new on Saturday morning. It's almost 72 hours but until now, no news regarding this missing flight. Let's us pray together for miracle to be happened.
