Recap of My 2011 History & My 2012 resolution

Happy new year to all my readers and here it is, my officially first post for the year 2012. Talking about the year 2011, I try to figure out what has it brought to my life. Change my life dramatically or just the same old simple life I had?

Beginning with the month of January, this month totally gave me a mixed feelings indeed. The month for the 1 year memorial of the lost of someone that is so important in my life but then it's also the month that my boyfie and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary we'd been together. Somehow somewhere, I still miss you a lot, my dearest late grandfather.

January 2011
My own handmade card to the boyfie.

My career life started to change in February where I was being promoted as audit semi-senior along with my boyfie. Yup, both of us were working together under the same field. Like they said, when salary increased, the responsibilities also getting heavier. Beside that, being part as one of the Company's sport committee, I was given a real opportunity to organise the Company's annual dinner - with lots of grand and exclusive prize sponsored by our boss including iPad, Canon compact camera, iPod and more. Too bad I didn't won any of those.

February 2011

Then the following month, March is where again another year for me to blog candle. No more blast and happening celebration like I had in previous year, but I grateful to celebrate this important day with my family, friends and not forgeting, with boyfie too. A simple birthday celebration marked my life another meaningful and remarkable moment when got to celebrate with all the loved one.

March 2011
This year my birthday celebration filled with lots of foods.

Fast forward to the month of May is where I began my travel journey for the year 2011. First, went to Kuala Lumpur for less than 2 days just to attend my friend's wedding. Frankly speaking, friends are important to me and has become part of my life. If I really got the time, I will try my best to attend their wedding even it is so far away. Therefore for me, good friends are meant to be kept, but for a friend that doesn't meet the definition of a friend at all, sorry to tell you are not meant to be part of my life, dude! Next, travel oversea with my family which I will mention about it later.

My friend's wedding in Mines, Kuala Lumpur

Officially being a semi senior for less than 4 months, I finally decided to tender a resignation letter and terminate my services in the month of June to further my study - to continue my professional accounting papers which I had keep extending for so long.

June 2011
My farewell treat by my colleagues. Thanks and I really miss them a lot.

Say Hello Again to Kuala Lumpur in July. Thanks to my friend and his sister for giving me a great place to stay during my study there. I really owed them a lot for their courtesy and taking a very good care of me.

Went Malacca with my friend's sister aka my housemate in August after my last trip to there was like almost 5 years ago. Deng!

August 2011

Among of all the month for the year, I love the most would definitely be September. The first reason was having TWO trips in a month and secondly, a visit to KL by boyfie.

My class ended in November and I went back KK immediately. Somehow, I think home is the most coolest place to be on earth. I used to like KL life once when I was a KL college student before, but after working in KK for almost 2 and half years, I think KK still the best. KL life is so complicated and such a hectic life, really doesn't suit me at all (my two cents opinion, no offence)

November 2011
Can't imagine how long I never fly with one of the world best airline after the existence of the world's lowest fare airline?

Having the worst nightmare where study non-stop for day and night for my exam which held in the month of December. Anyhow, my exam ended in the middle of month, and from there onwards, I started a new working life - working with my dad. Not my choice but what can I do. I still missing working with my previous employer somehow.

LinkDecember 2011
Gosh! Too many things to study.

So, that's summarised all my life for the year 2011. Wondering how about my globe trotting? One of my #2011 resolution has achieved and that was visited at least 4 different countries in a year:

1. Shenzen, China with family. The last trip we went together was back in year 2005 where we went Hong Kong together with my late grandfather. Although went Taiwan with family in 2010, but it is incomplete without the other family members.

2. Seoul & Jeju Island South Korea with my Europe trip gang. After travelled together around Europe in 20 days, four of us "back in action again" since we promised to meet and gather for another trip after our graduation.

3. Singapore with boyfie. Thanks a lot to boyfie to accompany me for this sweet trip and I guess he must be damn tiring and exhausted for walking a lot during the trip. Like I mentioned above, he came KL first before going to Singapore, and again he did a lot of walking too which he never did in KK. Walking from KLCC to Pavilion, Low Yat, Sungai Wang, Berjaya Times Square and almost walking everyday for almost half hour from the place I stayed to LRT :P

4. Jakarta & Bandung, Indonesia with mommy. At first, it supposed to be a trip of three but last minute, my friend can't managed to join us. However, proudly to say, my mommy and I managed to complete our journey to travel around this where most of them claimed to be so-called-not-safety place without the help of any travel agent. *Hebat right this anak-beranak!*

Although I am not an avid traveller which I really hope I could be someday, I guess this year is where I travel a lot and fly a lot too. Travel via airplane for 16 times, which I never travel so frequently in my entire life. Not forgetting, taking 6 different airlines during the whole trip for the year.

DT - 6 Different Airlines

Talking about #2012 resolution, never in my mind to think about it but since many of you did shared it, so I won't be hesitate to share about my #2012 resolution too.

  1. Earn and save lots lots lots of money to fulfill the 2nd.
  2. Travel at least once a month but it has to depend whether I manage to achive the 1st. Hopefully manage to visit at least few of the places I listed under "My Travel Bucket List" in DT Travel page.
  3. Losing some weight to reach my ideal weight. Looks like I to need take my ass up to go and do some exercise.
  4. Time for a new and better camera. Perhaps Canon DSLR or Panasonic latest camera, GX1.
  5. Complete my Europe trip saga and 2011 trips post
  6. Read more travel magazine to sharpen my writing skills and enhance my travel knowledge
  7. Start and set-up my own business in providing accounting services and tuition center.
  8. Browsing for a great location and stylish house (hopefully but seems impossible)
  9. Erm.. Guess that's all for this moment. Worry I might not able to achieve the above by the end of 2012.

Looks like 2011 had been a fruitful, awesome and eventful for me, at least. Now, it's time to brace myself for the brand new year. Hopefully it will be more happening and eventful throughout the year 2012. Most importantly, be healthy and happy always, right! Hope you guys a have a great one too!

DT's HTC & Asus
Last but not least, welcoming these two new gadgets into my life. Seriously, can't live without them. For your information, these two are the best ever birthday present I ever received.

Deng! So many things happened actually but I can't mentioned all here especially my life throughout the blogging world. Seems like I gonna continue blog about it in my next post.

Foodie Friday: T-Bowl & Sushi Zanmai

Maybe these two seems not a new and extraordinary dining place for you to satisfy your hunger, but for a East Malaysian like me who just came back to KL recently after left KL for almost 3 years, it is a new dining place for me to have a try and discover their foods. Everyone likes to try new things, right?

So, last week TTM aka my boyfie came to KL to pay me a visit. Happy to the MAX!!! Since at KK there we do not have any concept of this lifestyle cafe and I missed out when visited Taiwan last year, hence I suggest to have a dinner here.

T-Bowl Sungai Wang 01
T-Bowl, located on 3rd floor of Sungai Wang

T-Bowl Sungai Wang 02
The restaurant / cafe designed base on the bathroom concept - A toilet bowl as the seat whereas the basin as the dining table.

T-Bowl Sungai Wang 04
His order: Chinese Mambo Rice

T-Bowl Sungai Wang 05
Hers order: Minced Pork Rice and came along

T-Bowl Sungai Wang 06
With a set menu: A drink, a soup and a dessert. Even the mini toilet bowls served as the food bowl.

T-Bowl Sungai Wang 07
A mean is incomplete without ordering their signature dessert. Mix flavour Ice-cream that similar to your s**t.

Overall, we were satisfied with the foods. Nothing much to shout about and nothing much to complaint about. However, they need to improve their staff services towards the customers because one of the lady who served us, seems like "masam muka".

Thanks to TTM for this treat. :) Hey, I'm not always asking for the treat, ok! We take turns to treat each other. In my opinion, I think the ladies should treat their boyfriend sometimes and not always asking for the guys to pay on your behalf unless you are gold digger. Guys, don;t you think so?

In exchange for the treat, I treat him for sushi. He's getting more and more addicted to sushi lately so I decided brought him to Sushi Zanmai. I heard lots of compliment relating to this sushi restaurant - great services, more variety and better than Sushi King.

Sushi Zanmai, The Gardens

Sushi Zanmai, The Gardens 02
We did ordered a lot but I only snap those unusual sushi which not seems in other Sushi restaurant.

I would definitely love to visit Sushi Zanmai again before going back to my beloved KK hometown.

Taoyuan International Airport, Taiwan
Revisit this airport 2 months later for my Taiwan trip with family.

Finally, reached the main destination, Kansai International Airport, Osaka, Japan :)
Kansai International Airport
Most of my friends comment saying that instead read as Kansai, they read "Kanasai" =-=

From the last pitstop, this is where my adventurous autumn Japan trip begin! Do check out my travel adventures and experience around Japan - "8 Days of Adventurous Autumn Japan Trip" if you never read it before.

If you are reading this entry, just want to inform you that this another scheduled post (AGAIN!!!) because I am currently somewhere around in one of the country listed above. This month is really a travel month for me as I'd been on and off to two different countries in a month. - My third oversea trips for the year.

However, I'm a bit worry as I had been skipping class for 3 weeks and only attended class for 1 week within a month. Guess I need to catch up once I come back from holiday. confused

Bid Goodbye To My KK Second Home

Take a break for a while from my travel blog and giving someway to my personal life blog. Well, here I would like to announce today is my LAST day of working! I am free from the hectic daily life, no more work overload, feeling of stress and tension. Not forgeting, no more of keep counting down the time to passby to lunch time and off working hours.

It took 3 months for me to waiting for this day. I had tender my resignation letter 3 months ago, as what stated in the letter of offer due to my position.

But, it kinda a mix feelings when I'm about to leave because this can be consider as my second home. Imagine in 24 hours, I had spend at least minimum of 8 hours in office. Not yet including the 1 hour for lunch time where sometimes I bring lunch box and having at office.

Starting as a freshie level to a semi-senior level, it is the most priceless moment that had completed part of my life. Not forgeting too, this is the place where I met my current bf by the way=P. Well, the reason behind I resigned is not because I get a better offer but it's too further my study. Kinda complicated to explain but what I know besides becoming a full-time or part-time student (myself also confuse on this part), now I can even chase my biggest dreams in my life. Yeap, travel again around the globe to satisfy my wanderlust.

My seat in office. Next to me, it's my bf's seat.

My messy table.

IMG_3728
The laptop that I used. Nice leh the design? My boss replaced old laptop with this when I came back from Hong Kong trip. I was damn surprised that time.

IMG_3732

Besides my bf, only my 2 boss and HR department knew today was my last day. I lied to my other colleagues that tomorrow is my last day. Therefore, today no farewell celebration for me. Actually according to what I stated in my resignation letter, tomorrow is exactly my final day of working but I utilised my final day of paid leave to replace it. Sorry to all my colleagues for not telling you all the truth.

IMG_3730
I went office early today just to snap some photo. Therefore, some of the light not yet on.

Exactly 2 years and 4 months, now it's time to bid goodbye to my first ever Company I'm working with. Not bad working with this Company that offer lots of activities such as company trip, company dinner and even some sports acitivities including badminton, futsal and bowling. Gonna miss there!

Feeling kinda sad too as I'm gonna leaving KK soon! Sob sob

My Shortest KL Trip Ever

I went KL last month for 2 days or I can said not even reach 48 hours and this is my first ever shortest trip to KL. Mostly people will go KL for 3 days 2 night but what to do, being attached to a job with limited annual leave which I could only apply for 2 days off only.

17th May 2011

The day before I went to KL, TTM and I going to 1B for a movie. After the movie, we went to Digi Centre to subscribe the Digi Plan. As what he promised me for this year birthday present, at last he granted my wish. Although my birthday had been passed for almost 2 months, but it is better than nothing. I never force him to give whatever I want and I couldn't think what I want for this year birthday present. Out of sudden, he suggest handphone and this is what he bought for me.

kl 01
Thanks to my dearest TTM for this HTC Desire HD razz

Initially, he suggest iphone 4 but too bad no luck. There is a story behind why I didn't manage to get iphone (really really long story and too lazy to write it out) and end up, I plan to get HTC Desire HD. Actually I never thought of HTC at all but maybe influence by most of my friends especially two of my bestie who are currently using HTC too, so I think it is not a bad idea to have a try on it. And also it's time to change my 6 years old SE w810i.

However, I never thought that Digi Plan only works after 24 hours you subscribe that plan. End up, I brought 3 hp to KL (HTC, my old SE w81oi and borrow my bro hp). Sounds crazy, rite?

18th May 2011

kl 02

This is my firs time taking AirAsia's plane pic.

Once I reached KL, taking Skybus to KL Central. It had been one and half year since my last visit to KL. Sometimes I do miss KL. Without noticing, there is few changes in KL.

kl 03
Especially on their LRT. Got code somemore.

I still keep the Touch n Go card with me and the balance is RM10. Wow! So immediately start my KL trip by going to Central Market or known as Pasar Seni. Someone requested for Baby Milo T-shirt and all I can think is to get it from Pasar Seni. But I not just purposely went Pasar Seni for that, I even bought almost 2kg of dried meat for my family. Can't find the best dried meat in KK, therefore need to get it all the way from KL.

kl 04
Bargaining at Petaling Street or commenly known as Chinatown

After that, took KTM to Serdang to find my friend who check-in in Asia's most extraordinary and world-class award winning luxury hotel,

kl 05
The Palace of Golden Horses (will blog about this)

End my first night at KL by attending my friend's wedding dinner at the Mines. This is the main purpose I went to KL for. Shamed on those who lived in KL but unable to attend the dinner meanwhile for me, who all the way from Sabah also managed to attend his wedding dinner.

kl 06
Congratulation to Lee Bing and Kinki.

19th May 2011

Kicking my day by having breakfast as Wangsa Maju. Loves to have breakfast at Wangsa Maju. Cheap and varieties of choice to choose from.

kl 07
Wangsa Maju or more known as Desa Setapak is my lepak place during my study life in KL.

Thanks to Yin Yin,who drop by me here. After the breakfast, went to KL Central to deposit my luggage at the luggage storage for just RM3. OMG! Before this, I thought it cost me more than that not until Yin Yin told me. I feel like want to bang my head to the wall because I brought along my 5kg luggage with me when I went to Pasar Seni for almost 2 hours.

As my flight back to KK around 6.30 pm, so I went last minute shopping at Bukit Bintang. Enjoy the feeling of shopping alone because I managed to shop around 5 shopping centre within 3 hours.

kl 08

Not only shopping centre around Bukit Bintang, I also managed to visit Suria KLCC by taking shortcut behind Pavilion. Which means within 3 hours, I had shopped around 6 shopping centres and all by just walking.

kl 09

The purpose I went KLCC is because of the bookstore, Kinokuniya and also having lunch with my deariest, Purplefish. If talking about shopping at Suria KLCC, I would rather shop around Petaling Street or street markets even though under the hot and sweaty weather because I am not those chasing high end products and brand person.

Finally, bid goodbye to Kuala Lumpur.

kl 10
Even LCCT changes a lot. More shops are opened.

Three funny things happened when on my way to be on board:

1) Before check-in to the boarding gate, there is an inspection on your identication card or passport. While the security checking my IC, I was almost shocked to death when he knew my dad's name without any computer besides him. WAH! I never knew my dad is so famous. Actually the truth was coincidentally my dad has the same name as Malaysia's infamous producer who has produced uncountable of Malay movie in Malaysia. Guess who is that?

2) During the scan on the hand luggage or cabin luggage, I were being asked to open what's inside my wallet. WALLET??? What had I stored inside my wallet which I never know? They said my wallet contains many metals and guess what? I had too many coins with me. Like that also they can't differentiate coins.

3) Finally, I almost miss my plane because I was queue on the wrong gate. Despite queue on Gate 10, I was queue on Gate 11 due to too much addiction of the new toy (what else non other than new handphone). With my stupidity, I still saying "Wah, that line so fast one!" then I just realised that was my gate. Immediately run through that gate. Lucky enough for me to aware or else, I will heard my name or maybe my dad's name during the annoucement.

Say it is the shortest trip but I blog like I went KL for a week. You might boring with my rants and ramblings of my KL trip as most of you had went there before but this blog serve as a place where I share my travel experience, adventure and journey throughtout my life. Who said go to KL from KK cannot treat as travel adventure?

Before sign off, wishing everyone
"HAPPY DUMPLING FESTIVAL"

I'm going to have my mom's homemade dumpling as my dinner. Yummy yummy!
